Alex LeeMaster Instructor - 4th Dan Alex started training under his father, Grandmaster Lee, at the age of 5. He earned his black belt at thirteen and traveled to South Korea to visit the International Headquarters. Amazed with the Koreans' extreme skill and passion for the sport, Alex gained a new respect for the way his father was raised and had learned the art. He began instructing once he returned to Battle Creek, and worked one-on-one with several students, as their personal trainer.
As a varsity wrestler, swimmer, sprinter, and golfer, Alex brings a unique cross-training approach to his methods of teaching Hap Ki Do. He regularly mixes running, swimming, and weight lifting with his own Hap Ki Do workouts. Mr. Alex Lee graduated from Harper Creek High School in 2005 and went on to study Biology, as a pre med student, at the University of Michigan. Alex lives in Ann Arbor during the school year and comes back to teach and train during the holidays, and summers. Alex is currently working on forming a Hap Ki Do club at the university, through which he hopes to "expose the campus to the amazing art of Hap Ki Do." In addition to being a 4th degree Master Black Belt. Alex brought home the Silver medal in the self defense competition and tied for Gold in the Group Competition in the 2007 HKD International Competition. - 2010 U.S. Open Hap Ki Do Championship - Referee - 2010 8th Triennial World Hap Ki Do Championships - Assistant Executive Director - 2011 U.S. Open Hap Ki Do Championship - Referee
