Cindy Wagner was born in Wisconsin, January 29, 1958. She moved to Michigan in
1979 for graduate school, and has lived in Michigan since then.
Cindy became involved in the martial arts later in life, not having had that opportunity in
her youth. She studied Tai Chi for a couple years, and fenced competitively for 10 years
(foil, sabre) in regional and national tournaments.
Cindy finally found her “home” in Hap K iDo with Grand Master Lee, in 2007, and has been training with him since that
time. She holds the rank of 2nd Dan.
Cindy was a member of the KMA Demo Team that traveled to Korea in 2009 for the
Korean Open; that team won Gold.
She was also a member of the USA/IHF Demo Team that won Gold at the 2010 World Championship in Battle Creek.
Cindy was a member of the KMA/IHF Committee that organized the the 8th Triennial World HapKiDo Championship.
Cindy lives in Battle Creek with her husband, Larry. Their two adult children live in
California and Indiana.
