Master Juan Rangel

Master Juan Carlos Rangel Sr. born 11-04-67. Master Rangel has studied the
Martial Arts since 1974 (age 6), and has been teaching since 1986. Master
Rangel parents enroll him in the martial arts Kung Fu (praying mantis) and Wing
Chun to help him with confidence and to help him to defend against bullies and
rough neighborhood area’s in Texas. Then the family moves to Battle Creek,
Michigan and immediately enrolls Master Rangel in the International Academy of
the Martial Arts (TaeKwonDo). In 1982 Master Rangel enrolls in Korean Martial
Arts Hee Kwan Lee’s Hap Ki Do School.

In 1987, Master Rangel and Grand Master Hee Kwan Lee became U.S. citizen in
Grand Rapids, Michigan. Master Rangel and Grand Master Hee Kwan Lee went
through the ceremony together to become. U.S. Citizens.

Master Rangel was a Michigan State TaeKwonDo Champion five times and
competed at the National level. He is also a Regional Sport Jujitsu Champion,
Open Karate Forms, and Weapons Champion. Master Rangel has produced
many junior Olympian champions.

Master Rangel traveled the U.S to learn from top Master’s, and various styles to
enhance his knowledge in the Martial Arts. Master Rangel has had the honor and
privilege to train with Grand Master Wally Jay, Remy Press, Carloson Gracie, In
Sun Seo, Ji Han Jae, Sun Hwan Chung, Young Sook Kim etc.

Master Rangel is very happy knowing that his wife Elena and his kids Nicole,
Carlos, Pearla and Omar actively train in Hap Ki Do.

Master Rangel currently teaches class at Korean Martial Arts in Battle Creek
(U. S. A. IHF Headquarters) and Grand Rapids Michigan.
